The multispecialty Strategic Communications Coordinator, working under the direction of the Director of Operations, promotes specialty services across all campuses and ambulatory sites. The position is accountable for developing positive customer relations to outreach clients and resolving issues in a timely manner. The Strategic Communications Coordinator is also responsible for promoting other specialty services to the physician community as directed by Digestive Health Directors and Vice President.
The success of this position is a detailed understanding of our referring provider's needs, knowledge of our high quality Digestive Health service and a comprehensive overview of our special service lines, to ensure that information is communicated correctly to our providers.
The position requires the ability to travel and have an understanding of the target mark and the future grown and expansion of services offered by Digestive Health.

1. Develop and maintain relationships with referring providers and their key staff to bring awareness of our services.
2. Assist in the development of marketing materials and support other organizational initiatives that impact customer satisfaction.
3. Responsible for assembling marketing materials needed in the field, depending on provider specialties visited or hospital or department initiatives
4. Visit providers on a regular basis to establish strong relationships and encourage open communication with referring providers.
5. Respond promptly to problems identified and convey to managers and key staff to resolve issues in a timely manner and relay back to the follow up provider.
6. Maintain a daily call log to identify any trends and monitor all activity. Log sheet will be reviewed periodically by the Director of Operations to ensure that communication and follow-up is done in a timely manner
7. Understand the budget for the department and work with the manager for any marketing collateral or event giveaways that are needed. Keep in mind cost when ordering items for lunch and learns, breakfast meetings, etc.
8. Maintain spreadsheet with all travel and expectations incurred and submit for reimbursement.
9. Identify physician referral opportunities within the medical community through research and prospecting.
10. Assist in the planning of events, luncheons or other activities that will provide an opportunity to promote our services. Plan events as assigned.
11. Distribute and review current marketing materials with referring providers and key contact persons within the practice.
12. Maintain 1-800-Y-DIGEST phone number and Digestive Health email address.
13. Management of territory and referring practices
14. Maintain YNHH image by focusing on leading edge provider, patient and family focused, and excellent customer service.
15. Attend In-Services, Grand Rounds, Seminars to increase knowledge base.
16. Attend all new specialist meet and greets, as scheduled by directors to understand the particular specialty
17. Develop advanced knowledge of Digestive Health and its services to serve as a community resource.
18. Develop relationships with internal departments to help with concerns that are out of the realm of responsibilities, so that communication is open and issues and concerns are resolved in a timely manner.
19. Ongoing communication with practitioners and staff to promote Digestive Health services and identify and communicate barriers for resolution
20. Round at OP sites to better understand the services and providers that you are promoting
21. Collaborate closely with teammates, other internal teams and external partners as needed
22. Increase knowledge base of digestive health modalities, by attending CME events provided by the academic institution.
23. Ensure accuracy of current data base, relay information to team members, so that all are aware of any changes that might affect their territory.
24. Awareness of changes in territory may be necessary due to changing market.
25. Management of social media, podcast production; video creation for social media productions
26. Newsletter and announcement design and distribution
27. Provider onboarding
28. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, communications or marketing required.
EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in sales and marketing in a healthcare setting.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, have excellent communication and customer services skills. Must be proficient with all applications of MS Office. Must be able to work flexible hours in order to accommodate client needs. Must use personal car for travel. Must be able to work independently.
