Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for achieving Tyson Fresh Meats financial and business objectives through selling boxed beef, boxed pork, and a variety of value-added proteins to national food service chain accounts. This position will collaborate and work with several internal departments to provide customer service, product development, inventory management, contract management, contractual negotiations, as well as building strong business relationships with current and new customers. This position will work directly with customer’s purchasing department, R&D, and operations personnel to identify customer’s needs and grow sales volumes. This position must be able to adapt to varying customer personalities to effectively manage our current customers and along with new customers. Effective and efficient time management is a must to successfully negotiate and assess the best decisions for the company. Product and market understanding, and knowledge is a must. Exemplifying Tyson company policies, core values, team behaviors, and 5C s and customer creed will be expected. A successful candidate will also drive our Grow, Deliver, Sustain, strategy through additional involvement in various special projects as assigned in addition to this role.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
Experience: 3 plus years of Fresh Meat sales and or industry experience is preferred. Evidence of a prior leadership role in a career or in the community is a plus.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills; Microsoft Word Excel Power Point.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills; person must be confident in presenting material over the phone and in person.
Special Skills: Knowledge of Tyson Fresh Meat's systems departments product codes plant capabilities and product programs is desirable. Proven experience in communicating critical and influential material in a prior sales or equivalent role is desirable.
Supervisory: NA
Travel: 30% plus, depending on travel restrictions.
