Summary:
The Associate Manager Sales Training and Development is responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing product and skills learning and development programs in support of the Commercial sales team. This role will report to the Manager of the same title and focus holistically on team members’ development in performing their roles effectively and efficiently, utilizing product knowledge, selling skills, and sales technology.
This person will be able to assess need, design, develop and implement training materials including e-learning courses, videos, training decks, handouts, and communications. This includes development of story boards through finished product and can include stand-alone lessons or entire curriculums. All solutions should be accompanied by a measurement plan with outcomes linked to the business. The person in this role will establish himself/herself with Capabilities teams as a key contact for learning and development. This role requires cross functional collaboration and engagement with all levels of the Commercial organization, HR, and internally with the Sales Enablement team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Commercial Sales Capabilities/Sales Support Team Member Development
Collaborates within Sales Enablement and Sales Capabilities teams to identify and address skill gaps and development opportunities
Leverages internal and external learning platforms to provide meaningful learning that develops team members and thereby strengthens Tyson's Commercial talent
Designs learning content using Adobe creative suite, Articulate Storyline, PowerPoint or other creative tools.
Manages online content library
Facilitates product training as needed
Creates communication plans to ensure successful adoption of learning initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3 years working in either a sales or HR organization with 2 plus years of instructional design experience - including virtual training solutions. Food industry experience with customer and supplier interaction preferred.
Advanced PowerPoint and Excel Skills; Experience with Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
High sense of urgency and self-starter who is resourceful and capable of evaluating business situations and rapidly establishing action plans
Team player with strong collaboration skills
Demonstrates creativity and ability to drive innovative solutions
Strong organizational and project management skills
Advanced MS Office skills; ability to use a variety of technology platforms to facilitate learning
Travel 25% or less
