Description
The Key Account Manager - Pharmacy Sales (KAM) role will be responsible for developing and managing critical business relationships with designated hospital and health system accounts. The objective of this position is to grow Humana Specialty Pharmacy (HSP) script volume and revenue through identifying the specific needs of prioritized health systems, and delivering tailored solutions that maximize the HSP value proposition for these systems. This relationship-focused role will collaborate with the sales team to execute innovative growth opportunities across the portfolio.
Responsibilities
The Key Account Manager - Pharmacy Sales responsibilities include:
Analyze healthcare ecosystem landscape and data to develop account prioritization within defined territory; identify and track target accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Create engagement and messaging strategy execution plan for target accounts in collaboration with HSP outside selling representatives
Execute client-facing engagement strategy; responsible for navigating system structures to identify key specialty pharmacy decision markers. Serve as primary point of contact for key stakeholders
Travel to client sites as needed to build and maintain key external relationships
Define and deliver the HSP value proposition customized to a unique health system audience
Partner with hospitals and health systems to create customized solutions that meet organizational needs, leveraging the full scope of HSP capabilities including in the 340B marketplace
Collaborate with the sales team to follow through on sales leads; build matrixed relationship with internal stakeholders to develop strategy on key accounts
Achieve a set of organizational objectives
Required qualifications:
8 years of previous specialty pharmacy, pharmacy, or healthcare sales experience
Bachelors Degree
Strong analytical abilities and business acumen related to the healthcare environment and external trends
Previous experience interacting with C-suite level hospital leadership; ability to build and grow relationships at executive level
Ability to travel
Proven track record of creating strong, long - term business relationships Ability to lead both customers and internal executives and managers on key initiatives
Advanced Problem-solving and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives at one time
Ability to work on a team in a collaborative environment
Proven track record of creating strong, long - term business relationships

Preferred Qualifications
2 years of specialty pharmacy sales experience preferred.
Salesforce CRM experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills

THIS ROLE IS REMOTE IN GEORGIA
Travel Is Required within the state- up to 50% of the time.
