(Bruker Corporation, USA), we supply and provide support to high quality, accurate and cost-effective molecular diagnostic solutions for tuberculosis, SARS-CoV-2 and other infectious diseases within our portfolio.n nHain Lifescience SA (Pty) Ltd. is seeking an appropriate candidate to fill the position of Sales and Application Specialist. This individual will be responsible for both public and private sector engagement within South Africa, as well as engagement with direct customers and 3rd party distribution partners in the SADC region. They will assist in the gathering of market intelligence and strategic planning, and will be responsible for the implementation and execution of commercial strategies within their territory in order to maintain the existing customer base, as well as develop new customer relationships to grow market share and meet commercial objectives. Responsibilities will also include training and applications support for all products within the Hain Lifescience portfolio, as well as troubleshooting and resolution of customer queries/complaints/challenges.nResponsibilitiesnn Establish, develop and maintain positive business, customer and 3rd party distributor relationships through regular visitation and contact, with strong emphasis on pro-active engagement and development of new business relationships.n Present, promote and sell products/services using solid, logical arguments and collateral materials to existing and new/prospective customers.n Provide applications support and training to existing and new customers.n Gather all information relating to customer queries/complaints/challenges on products and perform troubleshooting, in collaborations with technical services and technical support teams, to ensurennexpedited resolution of customer queries/complaints/challenges to maximum satisfaction.nn Achieve monthly targets and outcomes within schedule. This includes but is not limited to execution of defined sales strategies, monthly engagement with 3rd party distribution partners to discuss market trends, strategies and market opportunities, as well as attendance of relevant conferences, symposiums.n Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments, including but not limited to sharing of successful and unsuccessful strategies and approaches, market trends, competitor information, scientific information, articles and press releases.n Completion and submission of tenders and requests for quotations (RFQs) within required deadlines.n Staying abreast of regulatory changes and requirements within territories to ensure compliance with regulations.n Analyze overall market potential for assigned Hain Lifescience products and services including Bruker and 3rd party suppliers.n Actively gather current marketplace information on existing and newly introduced products, delivery schedules, pricing, merchandising techniques and services in order to monitor competition.n Supply management with all required reports and feedback on sales opportunities, sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, customer needs, problems, interests, competitor activities, potential for new products, specialized laboratory projects/studies and current market trends, within stipulated timelines.n Attend all meetings and conference calls, sales and marketing events, industry trade meetings and training sessions to keep abreast of the latest developments.n Prompt response to communications or communication attempts by customers, stakeholders, team members, management and other departments.n Monthly visit to Head Office (Centurion) if based outside of Gauteng region.nn nThe abovementioned responsibilities are by no means comprehensive and exhaustive, and may be amended to fit the companyu2019s requirements.nQualificationsnMandatory requirementsnn Bacheloru2019s degree with Honours in Science or closely related field.n Minimum of 3 years of sales experience within the medical diagnostics field with a track record of commercial execution and excellence in achievement of revenue targets and key strategic objectives.n Computer literacy, and experience with CRM systems for management of customer information, engagements and opportunities as well as reporting.n Willingness to travel within South Africa and SADC region.nn nAdvantageous experiencenn Sales experience in molecular diagnostics related to Tuberculosis, SARS-CoV-2, sexually transmitted infections, respiratory pathogens and other infectious diseases.n Sales experience with liquid handling systems for nucleic acid extraction and purification, and real-time PCR systems.n Sales experience in SADC region including onboarding, maintenance and regular engagement with 3rd party distribution partners.n Experience with Sales Force CRM and Sage Pastel ERP systems.n Practical laboratory experience either in diagnostic pathology or clinical research relating to infectious diseases with utilization of Hain Lifescience products being an additional positive.n Working knowledge of Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization-Time Of Flight (MALDI-TOF) technology and applications.n Engagement with key stakeholders at regional/provincial/national level within focus segment (diagnostic pathology laboratories).nn nPersonal Skillsnn Developing new and maintaining existing customer relationshipsn Strong communication, verbal and written, and presentation skillsetsn Strongly self-motivated and displays initiative and pro-activeness.n Leadership and mentoring qualitiesn Excellent planning, organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detailn Track record of meeting deadlines and commitmentsn Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate cross-functionally across the organization in order to drive achievement of targets and objectivesn Conflict resolutionn Strong financial, business acumen and good judgmentn Ability to gather complete, accurate and up-to-date data/information/feedback in order to develop complex customer-specific solutions and proposalsn
