Fleet Solutions Key Account Manager
What is the role?
Fleet Solutions Key Account Manager - Southwestern US States will acquire new Shell Fleet Solutions customers. Targeted fleets of class 1 – 6 vehicles within a wide range of industries such as, construction, telecom, delivery, and services. This role seeks a true prospecting and selling professional. Also, it requires exceptional skills and focus on customer portfolio/relationship management while hunting new business within your geography.
Shell Fleet Solutions currently offers fuel payment cards, EV charging, carbon offsets, Shell Tap Up, Shell Fleet Maintenance Hub and Shell Telematics. These products and services are the initial offerings in the US with the sales team playing a key role in driving new business growth and solving fleet customers’ environmental sustainability challenges.
Accountabilities:
Prospect, approach, negotiate and close new business fleet customers within given geography.
Work closely with a Global Account Manager to research, identify, develop, and close larger fleet customers.
Drive new business growth with fuel card and mobility services as a part of sales team.
Help customers achieve their environmental sustainability goals with new EV charging and carbon offset services
Geography includes the Southwestern US states of CA, NV, AZ, and NM. The role requires domicile within geography, and strong preference to be located in California and near major airport (i.e. LA, SF, LV, PHX). The role includes a company car and T&E budget. Travel varies by your domicile, the time of year and business needs, but in general is 25% - 50%.
What we need from you:
Currently must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
At least 3 years working experience in prospecting and selling experience
Must be a bachelor’s degree in business-related field
Must have a demonstrated track record and passion for prospecting and selling
Wide background as a Hunter – Type Salesperson
Knowledgeable in fleet payment cards or mobility service sales
Strong technical fluency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
Strong interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to manage relationships at all levels
