**Location:** This role can be based in any city within DACH region (Germany, Austria or Switzerland).
**A Day in the Life**
As a Commercial Development Specialist you will be responsible for hitting key business objectives through developing partnerships both internal and external while creating clinical and economic value. You will evolve the Digital Surgery brand in order to maximise the potential of Medtronics Digital Surgery Portfolio offerings, representing the Company in accordance with its policies, and maintaining an awareness of local competitive conditions and a territory business plan which enables attainment of the sales plan given local market conditions.
Develop, communicates, and implement business plans to achieve strategic target business results.
Maximise business results through leadership of analytics related to customer agreements, contracted pricing offers and investments;
Conduct presentations to existing and potential customers to a high standard;
Develop and drive appropriate portfolio strategy in collaboration with the Operating Units to expand and protect market share, optimise pricing strategy, and build long-term contractual agreements and relationships with clients;
Develop and maintain Senior/C-Suite level relationships with strategic partners and work with them to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
Grow collaborative and synergistic relationships across the Medtronic portfolio
**Other duties and responsibilities**
_Innovation and Complexity:_ Provides market or operational insights through market research including customers and competitors activities.. Problems and issues faced are complex, difficult and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem;
_Communication and Influence_ : Communicates with internal and external customers and vendors regarding ongoing operations. Uses information exchange, influence and active persuasion without direct exercise of command to gain cooperation of other parties . May interact on issues that have externally shared objectives.
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
Youll have a network at the exec and senior surgical level of hospitals and be comfortable with selling new products or R&D to early adopter type customers;
Minimum of 10 years medical device sales experience and expert level knowledge of company products and services;
Fluency in English language (business-level, both verbal and written);
Ability to travel 25-75% of the time, as needed, to customer sites in the region
**Nice to Have**
Selling software as a solution skillset and experience;
Your background will include enterprise software sales into hospitals;
Experience of data and analytics within healthcare would be the icing on the cake for us;
Drive for Results, Ethics & Values, Evidence-based Medicine, Functional Technical Skills, Integrity & Trust, Interpersonal Savvy, Listening, Negotiating, Priority Setting, Problem Solving;
Some technical proficiency required to understand our products and conduct required testing with integrated surgical video systems.
