Additional Information : This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Marcus Hotels and Resorts. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International.

JOB SUMMARY

AC Hotels, connecting with our guests, catering to their on-the-go lifestyle and helping them feel the unique buzz of a new city depends upon a team of associates whose lifestyles and passions make them a great fit for the brand. We’re currently seeking a Sales Manager.

POSITION PURPOSE: A Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue by driving sales of the guest rooms and/or event space in the hotel for their defined markets to ensure all financial and sales goals are achieved or exceeded. The Sales Manager must have experience in both Group and Business Transient Sales.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Account prospecting, solicitation, and development via telephone, personal contact, outside calls, correspondence, email and other means of communication. Conduct hotel site inspections, entertain both in-house and off-property, and maintain thorough follow up methods.
Prepare and present proposals and contracts both written and verbal in a prompt, accurate, profitable, pleasant and professional manner.
Handle account details up to and including the turnover of groups for final arrangements with Catering/Event Services department.
Attend meetings including, but not limited to, pre-convention, business review, departmental.
Submit reports, proposals, contracts, and correspondence within allotted deadlines.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


Ability to analyze client needs and negotiate pricing.
Previous hotel sales experience required
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Basic mathematical skills that allow for calculation of room blocks, average rates, and forecast information.
Ability to effectively network and market our property.
Attend monthly meetings and be an active participant in the organization’s events.
Strong willingness to learn the designated market(s).
