Experience working with public sector clients, is preferred though not required. This position will be responsible for the retention and growth of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.s Government Account clients as well as expanding the client base of public sector related organizations, which includes associations, government agencies, and trade groups. Applicants must be experienced engaging in proactive outreach targeted at expanding the user base, responding to inbound queries, providing training, as well as identifying new opportunities with outside organizations through consultative discovery and pitching syndicated and custom solutions as needed. You will often need to involve several stakeholders, both internally, in different locations, and externally, across multiple departments of the target organization. This role is hybrid -based in Chicago with travel as required to meet clients across your market.
Key responsibilities:
Generate sales with new and existing government organizations across the assigned North American territory
Develop strong client relationships: identify key sponsors, influencers, and decision-makers to ensure they understand the benefits and applications of using **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s data systems and Consultative services.
Provide research support and trainings of Passport Data systems to clients as required
Evaluate and promote Passport usage within the client organization
Work with **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.s cross functional teams to elevate syndicated and custom offerings to the Government space
Manage contract renewal and upsell negotiations
Identify and act on opportunities for revenue growth using consultative selling techniques
Identify new syndicated and consulting revenue opportunities through growth of the base subscription and a better understanding of client organization, strategy, and priorities
Ability to generate and manage quality sales opportunities and maintain a healthy pipeline consistently above the required annual target
Revenue
: Manage the entire sales process of web-based research tools and custom research solutions to new clients (e.g., prospecting, territory management, meeting scheduling, product demonstrations, multi-stakeholder business case development, objection handling, contract negotiation, etc.). Demonstrate effectiveness by consistently hitting (and exceeding) monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue targets.
Forecasting
: Use consultative sales skills and effective time management/organizational skills to develop accurate monthly forecasts. Analyze quantitative (e.g. conversion rates, sales cycles, average price points, etc.) and qualitative (e.g. objections, competitive strategies, winning applications, etc.) market feedback to inform adjustments that ensure on, or above, target performance.

Requirements
Relevant consultative sales experience,
Direct experience in selling into the Public Sector and/or related institutions, domestic and international preferred
Commercial awareness
Negotiation
Networking
Knowledge of and interest in the Public Sector
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
Strong organizational ability
Self-motivated and organized
Solid experience of working in a client management role securing renewals and growing business
Knowledge of and interest of the Government space is preferred
Bachelor's degree required, MBA is valued
