This role represents an opportunity to work at the heart of the Energy Transition within Shell's Mobility business. The successful candidate will act as the e-mobility community leader and drive the e-mobility business development in line with the business ambitions.

What’s the role?

As Business Development Manager – E Mobility – OEM you will be accountable of building E-Mobility partnerships with Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) across all segments i.e., 2W/3W/4W and Commercial Vehicles. This comes with a high responsibility of generating demand for the existing network and adding new locations for the EV charging network. The candidate should be able to lead the interactions with OEMs and present the requirements and timelines to the internal teams and coordinate to ensure all actions are delivered within the specified timelines and cost.

Further roles and responsibilities:


Secure partnerships with a minimum of 4 OEMs annually across all segments to make Shell Recharge the preferred partner for EV charging and enable demand at the Shell Recharge network.
Secure partnerships with minimum of 4 OEMs across all segments to enable Shell Recharge to be the preferred partner for home charging and dealership charging infrastructure.
Closely coordinate with C&P and Network team to identify partners/vendors to execute home charging and dealership charging infrastructure.
Develop business models for OEMs e.g. Electron subscription packages, bulk purchase of Energy etc. in coordination with Network Planning and Finance to enable a sustainable P&L for the E-Mobility business.
Explore opportunities with OEMs for joint business development in the battery swapping and EV charging space.
The role will closely work with the IT and the Digital Manager to integrate the Shell EV digital platform with the OEM digital platforms to ensure we have controls over the strategic lever of customer ownership.
Working with other members of the team, define and create the relevant EV charging offers for destination opportunities.
Support Capex Management, Multi Year Plan and Post Investment Review processes for destination and OEM projects.
Work with Legal to create partnerships agreements and templates which will enable Shell to control the key strategic levers of Brand, Customer and Electrons.
Work with Shell Energy and other teams to create an integrated value proposition for Partners comprising of Green Electrons and EV Charging infrastructure.


What we need from you


Graduate of Bachelor’s in Engineering preferably with MBA.
At least 7-8 years of solid business development experience.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Experience in EV Ecosystem and OEM.
Strong stakeholder management.
Great commercial and business acumen.
Ability to interact and report to Senior Management.
Willing to be based either in Bangalore, Bombay or Gurgaon and travel frequently.
