The Portfolio Sales Specialist
is a customer-focused sales professional that provides sales support, Consulting guidance and hands-on experience to customers and partners. The Portfolio Sales Specialist

Enhancing value and differentiators for customer business outcomes and our competitors

Support our sales teams on large and/or strategic opportunities
Understanding of complex distributed database systems challenges.
Engage with senior decision makers throughout the sales process
Present and discuss the value proposition(s) associated with your specialization
Build long-term business relationships and become a trusted advisor within select accounts to see opportunities and sell **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Solutions
Ability to demonstrate and improve reseller/alliance partner relationships to increase sales
Build and deliver solution presentations and/or training sessions to customers, partners, as needed
Stay well ahead of the learning curve in your area of expertise and related business trends
Work across the ASEAN region with sales teams as a regional sales resource providing deep support for proposed engagements.
Work with the regional education team to ensure cross training to the field sales of relevant industry network news as well as technical network training as appropriate.

Requirements:
Solution oriented
- The expertise and ability to convert customer requirements into innovative technical solutions in the database administration space.
Technical depth & breadth –
Technical depth in database administration solution designs and migrations, and breadth in datacenter infrastructure technologies
Collaborative
- Able to work cohesively with members of the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. sales, product, engineering, services, and marketing organizations and **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. partners is required.
Excellent Communicator
- Strong negotiation, organizational, presentation, product demo, writing, and verbal communication skills is required.
Executive Presence
- Validated experience engaging with senior level executives is preferred.
Performer
- Highly driven person who consistently exceeds goals and expectations is required.
Proven experience one or more of the following areas:
Application and Server Virtualization understanding & selling.
Maintain relationships with a broad set of resources at all levels of a customer organization
Deep understanding of sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand customer needs, overcome objections, assist in the development of business cases and close deals
Flexible, dependable, self-starter, capable of quickly learning new products and technologies
Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
Ability to travel within the ASEAN on occasion and as required
Experience selling compute, databases & apps
Conceptual understanding of databases & their practical use cases.
Extraordinary teammate that works well in dynamic situations and startup environments
