Responsibilities:
As a member of the Partner Content Team based in our Santa Monica office you will identify, manage and develop partnerships in a consultative, team selling environment delivering Demand Media’s Content Solutions to brands, retailers and agencies. Our solutions include the development of a comprehensive content strategy including original articles, videos, and custom, fully managed web experiences
Establish new client relationships and expand existing ones. Must be willing to continuously prospect.
While serving as a trusted advisor, demonstrate extensive knowledge and insight into prospective clients’ business processes while linking our offerings to the agenda of their executives.
Evangelize new products, services and solutions. Tell our story.
Manage sales cycle including developing and optimizing a sales pipeline, qualifying opportunities, maintaining pursuit strategies focused on key decision makers and managing opportunities from prospecting to negotiation and contract closure.
Meet and exceed minimum target sales goals.
Work with a driven and highly motivated team to assist with creative concept development, proposal creation, pitches, contracting, producing and delivering projects.
Partner with Account Management division to ensure successful transitions, implementations, customer satisfaction, and on going partnership with clients
Work closely with internal cross functional teams to build, pitch and execute programs.
Requirements:
5 - 7 years plus in publishing, content creation/distribution or online media including a proven track record of success exceeding sales goals. Experience with cross platform solutions a plus.
Very strong verbal and written communication capabilities with all levels within an organization.
Experience selling to top digital divisions of brands, retailers and/or agencies.
Comfortable structuring, negotiating and managing the legal contracting process.
B.A or B.S degree from a leading university
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, goal-oriented, aggressive, consultative, driven and have a positive attitude
