Overview
Position Summary:
Staff and maintain Snap-on's mobile Shop Essentials showroom. Focus exclusively on the needs of critical industry shop owners and their technicians, ranging from the basic to the most advanced shop equipment and diagnostics solutions in the market. Utilize the mobile showroom to interact with franchisees, company store managers and their customers, performing high-level product demonstrations, and a complete range of accessories that complement each unit. This position is intended to grow franchisees' equipment business by showing them the importance of promoting the value that Snap-on equipment and diagnostics have over the competition, and the partnership they can create with their shop owners for future equipment and diagnostics sales.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks
Being a product expert, assist franchisees and company store managers in selling diagnostic workstations, welders, plasma cutters, air conditioning machines, air compressors, tire machines, and wheel balancers, along with other shop equipment to end-users
Visit shops in franchisee routes, showing the value our products provide to franchisees, company store managers, and their customers, who can also help with sales
Assist in growing the business of franchisees, company store managers and their customers. Write and present quotes to end-users with a sales expectation of $55,000 per week
Evaluate and coach franchisees and company store managers on methods to grow the equipment and diagnostics segments of their business
Maintain accountability for corporate assets in the form of assigned product inventory
Operate van in compliance with the Snap-on program
Operate van according to DOT regulations and safety guidelines
Interact with franchisees, company store managers, and FPT members to ensure coordination of programs and policies, and to share best practices
Work with FPT members and franchisees to help the region meet sales goals
Attend sales meetings to build relationships with franchisees, company store managers, and FPT members to drive participation to 100%, and teach them equipment and diagnostics sales
Qualifications
Requirements
High school diploma
Bachelor's degree preferred (if no bachelor's degree, equivalent experience required)
5 to 7 years of retail or route sales experience
Previous TECHKNOW Sales Rep experience preferred
Sales management and retail experience a plus
Experience in business and related positions
Valid driver's license
Ability to quickly become a product expert in selling diagnostic workstations, welders, plasma cutters, air conditioning machines, air compressors, tire machines, and wheel balancers, along with other diagnostics and shop equipment to end users, using product videos and hands-on practice
Ability to drive cab/chassis truck with 22' box, 70-85% of the time
Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently (below shoulder height) and more than 50 pounds occasionally (using forklift or other lifting device)
Ability to travel
Adept at Microsoft Office Suite
Successful completion of Snap-on training programs
