Description
The Senior Manager, MarketPoint Sales sells individual health plan products and services in a field setting. The Senior Manager, MarketPoint Sales requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).
Responsibilities
The Senior Manager for MarketPoint Sales ensures sales goals are met on a daily, weekly and monthly basis leveraging the following but not limited to Points of Sales, Doctor offices, Elderly Homes, Grassroot events, Sales Leads and Broker Relationships. Ensures quantity and quality sales presentations of Sales Agents to potential qualified Medicare participants at Points of Sales, Prospectors Homes, Doctors' offices, Elderly Homes, etc. using approved promotional, presentation material and guidelines. Identifies sales opportunities with seniors--individually or in groups-and community leaders to sell individual health plan policies. Ensures proper use of Departmental resources such as Promotors, Leads, Doctors offices and Elderly Home assignments.
Must be able to resolve complex technical and operational problems within department(s), and could lead multiple Sales Agents and Promotors.
Required Qualifications
6 years of professional Sales and/or Medicare Advantage experience.
2 years of management or leadership job experience
Active Health & Disability Insurance Licenses in Puerto Rico (Or Provisional Licenses active). Any associate who is hired with Provisional Licenses has 180 days to acquire the regular licenses. In the event that DOI provides a testing date past the 180 days window, associates will need to inform their leader. Failure to comply will result in termination of employment.
Bilingual English/Spanish. Intermediate level of communication skills in English (Ability to write, read and communicate in English). Candidate selected will not be communicating in English with members -
Ability to lead a team of sales associates and train them in successful sales techniques, educational presentation skills, utilizing technology tools as well as building relationships with communities and medical providers
Excellent public speaking skills
Strong aptitude for technology with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Community Engagement/Grassroots experience in marketing Medicare plans in the community
This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits
COVID Vaccination:
For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home. Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in the health solutions industry
2 years of sales management experience
Prior experience with medical, life insurance and dental product positioning
Bachelor's Degree

Schedule:
This is an Exempt position; primary schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with Overtime and weekends as needed.
Training:
Online and Field Training (approximately 8-9 weeks)
Work Location (Address): TBD (depending on area assigned)
% Travel: 80%- As required, field position
# of Direct Reports: 18-22
This is a field-based Job
. Though you will work at home or in the office at times to make phone calls or set appointments, you will primarily be out and about in the community, engaging with key influencers and members at a travel rate of more than 80%.
