Production Operations – Technical Sales Representative

The D&I (Digital and Integration) Technical Sales Representative provides direct support for specific technology and solutions in their respective GeoUnits, participating in the building and execution of sales strategies by identifying opportunities based on their technical expertise across all business lines within the D&I division. This position establishes professional relationships at the client user level as well as at the executive level, and shares knowledge of client requirements and opportunities across the Schlumberger sales organization including Business Line Business Development Managers and the Domain Champions to maximize Schlumberger value, as well as to provide input into the R&D process. The D&I Technical Sales Representative develops a deep understanding of the Division strategy and how their domain of expertise and technology will contribute to products and services adoption in their respective GeoUnit.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develops new business by actively participating in the promotion of Schlumberger's new technology and services offerings.
Establishes lasting, professional relationships with customer contacts.
Understands customers local environment and identifies new technical applications suited to their needs.
Ensures that customer problems arising from sales are responded to and appropriately managed.
Validates and provides answers to technical questions from customers.
Provides technical support for sales activities such as bid proposal preparation, technical design options, and other technical services.
Provides technical support for marketing activities such as presentations, demonstrations, and technology launches.
Delivery of the yearly assigned revenue targets for their respective domain.
Provides input to marketing on requirements for new product development.
Maintains integrity in all communication and actions ensuring ethics, quality and HSE (Health Safety and Environment) are evident and a key differentiator.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in oil and gas field operations.
Previous experience & deep understanding of the Artificial Lift systems (Sucker Rod Pump, PCP, Plunger Lift, Gas Lift, ESP) is required.
Previous experience with well instrumentation and communications (SCADA, DCS/PLC, IOT etc.) is required.
Previous experience troubleshooting and remediating challenges in production operations, specifically SAGD is required.
Previous experience leading or participating in production optimization campaigns is required.
Ability to manager client relationships and Opportunities.
Proven ability to interface with internal stakeholders, partners, and customers with tangible results.
Good interpersonal and sales skills with customers and inside personnel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills is required.
Willingness to travel.
Initiative and ability to work effectively with little direction and/or few guidelines (under minimum supervision).
Excellent analytical, administrative, communications and organizational skills.
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship
