Brew Recruit is looking for an Events and Membership Manager for a well-established and award-winning New York State membership association. Our client is looking for a candidate with 3 years of large event production and logistics experience coordinating volunteers, vendors and attendees. In addition, the position includes managing existing and procuring new membership for the organization. This position will allow you to work independently and fully remote. Ideally, our client is looking for someone located in Upstate New York. FYI this role reports directly to the Executive Director and has a very strong team approach.
Responsibilities:
Fully lead and execute one NYS annual conference
Organize, produce and manage five regional in person events
Work with Communications Coordinator and Director of Partnerships on event promotions
Solicit member participation for events
Coordination assistance for regional member meetings and an annual board meeting
Research additional event opportunities
Serve as a resource for members
Manage existing member retention
Drive new membership
Recruit and manage event interns, volunteers and production teams
Assist with content for bi-weekly newsletter, Facebook group and their App
Requirements:
Bachelors degree or professional experience equivalent preferred
3 years of experience with large live and in person events and conference management
Experience organizing events with 500 attendees and vendors
Prior experience working for a not-for-profit is strongly desired
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work remotely and independently
Passion for independently owned craft beverage producers
A-type personality with interpersonal skills
Proficient in social media/networking, Microsoft Office, and Photoshop Elements
Comfortable working with various membership databases
