Are you an experienced business development director?
I am partnered with a leading healthcare digital, data & intelligence company who are looking for an experienced BD director to join their expanding UK team.
The company provide multi-channel marketing programmes to the pharma, biotech & medical device / technology.
You will be responsible for developing new relationships across the life science industry to identify growth in existing & new clients. You will be offering the full digital portfolio across.
* Customer engagement - data driven digital solutions & multichannel marketing services.
* Brand / promotional / educational material across the full portfolio offering
* Consulting services
* Data / Insights
*Key responsibilities:*
• Offer a consultative & solution sales approach to your clients by identifying their business needs
• Develop a strategy for expanding the scope of existing contracts and identify new business opportunities
• Establish and maintain excellent client relationships through regular close contact, including face-to face meetings, telephone, and e-mail communication
• Manage a portfolio of clients, gaining an in-depth understanding of their business issues and how the business can add value
• Maintain a detailed understanding of the financial status of your portfolio; including revenue and billings status
• Keep up to date records or your account places & reviews
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure the client is receiving the highest level of service and excellent performance of campaign programmes
• Actively discuss opportunities within the team to increase the services offered to your portfolio, increasing the revenue generated from it
• Take ownership of quarterly and annual business plans with responsibility for accurate business forecasting.
• Effectively interact with the account team in managing the handover and set-up of campaign programmes, ensuring you are fully and correctly briefed in all aspects of the deliverables
• Monitor/analyse campaign performance and provide detailed and valuable reporting to the client
You will directly report into the Executive Director.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A background in selling digital promotional solutions into the life science sector
* Be able to demonstrate a proven track record of independent billings
* Have a consultative sales approach, be able to recognise clients pain points & buying signals
* Have an up to date understanding of the digital landscape & offerings
* B2B sales experience
* Excellent written & communication skills
* Able to present at a senior level
* Knowledge of the life science / healthcare sector
* Degree or above
