Profile

Our client is a multi-award-winning country lifestyle and shooting shop with 35 years' experience, they specialise in high end shotguns and shooting accessories with a focus on customer service and delivering brilliance in everything they do.
The organisation run an extensive gun repair and restoration department within the business, utilizing various gunsmiths across the country, which requires diligent running and management to ensure customers get the best possible service.
The role would include:
- Engaging with customers to work out what work it is they would like carried out
- Manging sending guns to gunsmiths
- Managing gunsmith's work loads so as not to over burden them
- Engaging with customers when quotes are returned from the gunsmith
- Managing customers expectations on lead times on work
- Helping out with the day to day running of the shop including helping with clothing and cartridge sales
- Helping with shop admin where necessary
- Helping to make sure the shop is pristine
The ideal candidate will:
- Be hard working and diligent
- Be highly organised and efficient
- Be able to develop a good rapport with customers
- Have good time and where necessary people management skills
- Have a keen desire to learn and progress
- Be computer literate
For the right candidate there are many development opportunities available within the business.
No prior knowledge of the shooting industry or shooting as whole is necessary however it is certainly beneficial.
Candidates will be expected to work from 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs 5 days a week, one of those days being Saturday. The shop is closed in Sundays.
Starting salary GBP25,000.00, with pay review at the end of 3 month probation period
