Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for selling Tyson Fresh Meats products and managing customer support activities to large high volume foodservice accounts to achieve Tyson’s financial business and customer satisfaction objectives. This position will collaborate and work with several internal departments and must be able to adapt to varying customer personalities to effectively manage these large high volume accounts. Effective and efficient time management is a must to successfully negotiate and assess the best decisions for the company. These decisions are often time pressed and most often have significant impact to overall market psychology pricing and positioning within the meat industry. Tyson Fresh Meats is a market leader within the meat industry; therefore this person must convey the knowledge and confidence in pricing market trends and product knowledge to be successful in this very dynamic environment while maintaining Tyson company policies core values team behaviors 5C’s and customer creed. A successful candidate will also drive our Grow Deliver Sustain strategy through additional involvement in various special projects as assigned in addition to this role.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
Experience: 3 plus years of Fresh Meat sales and or industry experience is preferred. Evidence of a prior leadership role in a career or in the community is a plus.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills; Microsoft Word Excel Power Point.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills; person must be confident in presenting material over the phone and in person.
Special Skills: Knowledge of Tyson Fresh Meat s systems departments product codes plant capabilities and product programs is desirable. Proven experience in communicating critical and influential material in a prior sales or equivalent role is desirable.
Supervisory: This person will manage one Customer Service Representative.
Travel: Less than 5 trips per year.
