Job Description:
In the world of post pandemic, Marketing business has become more and more important for Shell. In specific, Mobility now plays a crucial role and contribute significantly to RDS on strong net earnings, stable cash delivery and E2E value to Downstream. To guide our business into the future, the Mobility business is now the growth business for global, especially in China.
The Shell Mobility business in China consists of over 1,800 service stations in 20 provinces. As a China Mobility Team member this role is supporting the safe delivery of all five 2025 Aspirations for Mobility.
All of success factors above have strong and direct linkage with Digital in China. The purpose of this position is to work as a core team member to support entire Mobility digital team to accelerate the Retail China digitisation journey and more specifically support Mobility China JVs and WOFEs build a solid digital infrastructure, digital eco-system and leading retail customer experience. Ultimately, this position needs to create brilliant customer experience on all digital platforms and sound commercial value and returns.
What is the role?
As Digital Innovation & Channel Manager, your key responsibilities include:
Support the integrated digital team to help all JVs/WOFEs deploy best in class digital platforms and facilitate sufficient knowledge transfer and value creation via the unified platform.
Support the China B2C digital transformation roadmap and work closely with Shell Retail IT, C&P and businesses to enable value-centric digital and loyalty program.
Support and coordinate the run and maintenance, upgrade, and continuous improvement of the core digital platforms to move all JVs/WOFEs forward and provide the best customer experience in China.
Identify areas of improvement in the current JV/WOFE Digital Strategies and Policies, especially on the roadmap and planning on effective digital and loyalty management and build best experience and high loyalty on differentiated customer offers.
Provide timely advice to digital community for decision making purposes regarding digital strategy, policies, tools and systems.
Work closely with global digital and global loyalty/CRM team to bring the world-class best practices into China.
Work closely with a series of external digital and traditional service providers to build a sound digital eco-system for Mobility China.
Keep highest level of data privacy and in the meantime harvest the most value via data analytics and tiered loyalty program Identify and nurture potential talent within SCL/JVs to ensure there is a sustainable pool of talented individuals to manage pricing activities.
What we need from you?
We continue striving to build a professional Mobility organisation. Very up to date and direct experience of digital marketing and operations based on differentiated customer offers will therefore be an imperative and clear advantage in any application. The following qualifications will form a key part of the evaluation process and the selection of the candidate for the role:
Deep understanding on the customer needs and shopping mission.
Mastery on the key drivers for the top-line and bottom-line performance.
Mastery on the effective margin management for various offerings.
First-hand experience on implementing the differentiated customer offers.
Solid IT and digital project/program management experience and skills.
Solid expertise on the retail acumen and big passion to learn more about new retail.
Solid expertise on the digital loyalty value system and build value-centric cultural.
Solid team leadership and good at unifying and motivating the members at all levels to go beyond the expectations.
Strong resilience capability and good at handling conflicts and tensions and develop win-win solutions.
Experience in influencing cross functional teams to deliver results without formal authority.
Experience in leading change management in a broader organizational setting would be a plus.
