We are hiring a **Senior Group Marketing Manager** to lead **Core Spine US Commercialization** for Intradiscal and Minimally Invasive Fixation Procedural groups.
Come lead one of the fastest-growing business segments at Medtronic Spine. You will be an important contributor to our fast-paced, high-visibility Core Spine Commercialization team. Your specific area of ownership and overarching responsibility will include but not be limited to the following business platforms: ALO/ProLat (O25/360, Catalyft TL, Anteralign TL, ProLat, DLIF, O51, Catalyft LS & Anteralign LS, ALIF, Retractors) & Degen/MIS (Post. Degen ITBs, Anterior Cervical ITBs, Rialto, and NanoLOCK Surface Technologies).
You will report directly to the US Core Spine Marketing Director. Your role will be to develop comprehensive product marketing plans and ensure successful commercial roll-out within the US Market. You will define the product and brand strategy with the Global Marketing and US Commercialization leadership team and drive the cross-functional collaboration into the development of product launches, marketing initiatives, and customer-engagement programs. You will inspire, lead and coach a group of 5 high-performing product managers as well as develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional marketing partners. You will be tasked with driving a winning performance management culture founded upon accountability, discipline/focus, collaboration, and strategic execution.
Medtronic Core Spine is located in Memphis, TN. Exceptional candidates may be considered for remote within the United States.
**A Day in the Life**
Lead the US Commercialization product management function incorporating product life cycle management.
Develop comprehensive marketing plans including customer segmentation, brand positioning, and messaging, competitive strategy, value pricing, field sales training, and customer education.
Planning, initiating, monitoring, tracking marketing projects and process improvement initiatives and facilitating successful, on-time, and within budget execution. Initiatives include developing and implementing new product launches, designing and implementing various marketing campaigns.
Collaborate with global marketing partners, sales leadership, and key opinion leaders to effectively communicate our US Core Spine portfolio value proposition, differentiation from competition, and identify under-penetrated market opportunities to drive market share, revenue and profitability through new product introductions and sustaining growth initiatives.
Building business plans, competitive plan development, pricing analysis, sales/revenue forecasting, analysis of distribution/channel issues, and inventory management.
Sets clear direction and management objectives that align with defined practices and policies and enhance the organization's assessment of existing and potential markets and for the development of new and innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
Directs day-to-day activities for multiple work-stream teams through managing project plans, resourcing, status reporting, resolving issues, identifying project risks and accountabilities for deliverables across multiple functional organizations. Establishes meaningful metrics and tracks against them.
Interacts and works closely with other departments, such as but not limited to Sales, Medical Education, Sales Training, Global Marketing, Physician & Society (Including CEPs) Regulatory Affairs to ensure marketing programs achieve Medtronic's short and long-term goals while remaining consistent with the organization's overall mission.
Develop and maintain relationships with sales leadership, surgeon customers, and key opinion leaders. Work with the team to define and execute customer feedback planning through market research, the voice of sales, field travel & customer visits.
Lead and participate in core spine leadership team meetings as requested by senior leadership to address key business opportunities, barriers, and challenges.
Communicate effectively and ensure leadership is well informed and aligned with key strategies and recommendations. Provide for ongoing reporting of Intradiscal and MIS Fixation franchise and product launch progress to plan, measure the impact of marketing initiatives, sales analysis, competitive analysis, and customer feedback.
Present to senior leadership at Business Reviews, Launchpad, Liftoff, Orbit, and Monthly RVP/SSD/Sales Leadership Calls.
Lead a team of product managers, review the work of a team of professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
Build, develop and promote marketing talents within the team and across the organization.
Travel within the US up to 40%. Spend significant time in the field with sales personnel and surgeon customers to understand their perspectives and ideas and stay at the front of market dynamics, changes, and identifying unmet needs. Represent the customer during internal meetings and represent the company at advisory boards and medical congresses.

Formulates and reviews corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product or product line.
Conducts competitive product analysis and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience.
Determines the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements.
Develops production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity, working closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle.
Works with other functions to finalize product specifications.
Provides advertising with core brand equity.
Serves as technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues.
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
Bachelors degree required
Significant (minimum 5 years) product launch/commercialization experience required must provide examples of exceeding launch deliverables
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in marketing or field sales role or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in marketing or field sales.
Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience (people or program)
Upstream and Downstream medical device marketing experience
**Nice to Have**
Masters degree/MBA in Business, Marketing, or related field strongly preferred
Spine or Ortho experience is strongly preferred
Field Sales experience a substantial plus
Global experience with demonstrated success in understanding and interpreting cultural differences
Proven ability to work in, and motivate cross-functional teams
Upstream and downstream medical device marketing experience
Strong knowledge of the US Spine market
Previous people management experience
Experience developing and successfully executing commercial marketing plans
Ability to quickly develop relationships and rapport with individuals at all levels across sales and marketing functions.
Experience in strategic product commercial planning
Experience developing brand strategy and tactics to grow volume and market share
Ability to clearly communicate marketing strategy and tactical plans to applicable field teams
Demonstrated success in developing relationships with colleagues, customers, and KOLs
Strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-moving environment.
Ability to manage multiple products/projects
Skills in financial analysis, supply planning, and forecasting
Excellent interpersonal, selling, communication, and presentation skills
Independence, energy, and positive attitude
Ability to adapt and change within our dynamic corporate and business environment
