Position Summary
The Key Account Manager, Distributor will manage and drive the Sales for Under Armour (UAE) in part of the EMEA region (managing 2-3 Exclusive Distribution partners) and will be responsible for Sales / Commercial activities in close alignment and partnership with the UAE regional Cross Functional teams and makes sure Under Armour’s global strategies are translated to local needs.
This position acts as Key Account Manager / Representative as primary point of contact for the assigned distribution partners and ensuring that the right brand execution is in line with brand strategy on the field. This position represents the entire range of Under Armour’s products, channels, and services to assigned customers, driving the Distributor planning / GTM cycle and consulting to ensure assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by UAE.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• To represent UA brand externally / the distributor partner regions internally as an ambassador towards all functions and vice versa manage all interfaces
• To ensure understanding of the assigned regions and commercial opportunities in all channels including Wholesale, Pure Players and DTC
• Drive seasonal category growth initiatives in accordance with the EMEA Go-To-Market strategy
• To ensure continuous monitoring of sell-out and the order book as well as well as cost effective and reliable supply / delivery for the account
• Ensure contractual agreements are followed UA yearly financial objectives are met (top line rev., in house margin target)
• Ensure development of the distributor strategies by formalizing account plans & market share expansion
• Time to time trace commercial opportunities in channels Key Accounts, Pure Players and DTC
• Drive seasonal category growth initiatives accordance with the GTM strategy
• Drive EMEA sales strategic/development initiatives (channel & product segmentation etc.)
• Partner payment terms and requirements - internal credit line management
• Monitor in country inventory position
• Collecting sales data and industry trends within the market to allow UAE to analyze and take advantage of potential growth or forecasted future declines; and communicating to UAE sales management local market news on competitors, customers, and political situations.
• Supporting promotion of Under Armour branded products to equipment managers and professional sports teams and clubs within the Territory
• Coordinating marketing and promotional events at customer locations, training camps and other events
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
• Understanding of different Sales Management techniques and processes
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate, recognize and resolve issues
• Strong understanding of Direct Marketing fundamentals and response-driven creative development
• Experience in vertical retailing, freestanding brand store marketing, or store within a store brand and product marketing required
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to work under pressure in a challenging fast paced environment with tight deadlines
• Excellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments concurrently and deliver on commitments
• Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and marketing campaign management skills
• Thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and ability to translate findings to positively impact business.
Education And / Or Experience
• Minimum 6 years of relevant Sales and Marketing experience or equivalent role managing multiple competing tasks and demands in a fast-paced consumer-driven environment
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in Key Account Management
• Proven Key Account Management skills and strong Negotiation skills.
• Market skills and experience ideally in Northern and Central Europe
• Proficiency in a second language from the above regions would be a plus.
