Aon Is Looking for an Account Executive/Broker IV As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as an Account Executive/Broker IV. While the construction industry has always faced various challenges, never before has the focus been so directly imparted upon the design elements of process. Talent shortages, enhanced contractual and regulatory requirements, a series of headline grabbing engendering catastrophes, combined with a quickly retracting insurance market have left these professionals in a precarious position in assessing analyzing and mitigating their risk and liability.  And with the anticipated growth of work generated from the government infrastructure bills—the intensity of the designs issues will only increase.  This position will act as a thought leader to assist our construction clients through these turbulent times. The individual will specifically act as a trusted advisor to our rapidly growing stable of design clients assisting in the assessment of risk retention from both a corporate and project specific basis  the individual must be intimately familiar with the industry and the varies current strategies surrounding a designs risk but also have a desire, and responsibility, to provide innovative solutions to the design field. Consequently 10 years of experience in this unique and highly specialized area of construction desing risk is required.  Beyond industry thought leadership and developing close and trusted relationships with our design clients, the position will be responsible to educate train and mentor younger members of the team.  The position will also include significant elements of assisting in the continued growth of our team. We believe the ensuing disruption within the construction industry will create numerous opportunities for growth—particularly within the design construction field-thus the candidate must have significant experience with the risk managers of these firms and enjoy a positive reputation from them concerning their expertise and trustworthiness.   Job Responsibilities:Market new and renewal business, handling all aspects of the placements from initial market selection through policy delivery to client.Ensure that placements are handled correctly and on time.Develop productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters and Aon local office teams.Identify and analyze prospect and client exposures.Coordinate activities with other internal units as required to meet customer needs.Present to local account executives, participate in RFPs, client meetings and conference calls.Key member of the client facing team, acting as a trusted advisor to the executive level client in broking, designing, selling and servicing complex accounts.Serves as a primary internal source for information concerning market trends, pricing practices and other underwriting policies, often within a specialized area.Responsible for planning, scheduling, resourcing and executing large projects/ programs.Frequently interacts with senior level colleagues and clients, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or clients and the company.You Bring Knowledge and Expertise Required Experience:Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, exceptional organizational skills, ability to make and communicate difficult decisions.Minimum of 10 years of marine insurance brokerage and/or underwriting experience and/or related experience.
