POSITION PROFILE
The KnollTextiles Trainer will work closely with multiple departments including Marketing, Design, Sales Leadership, and the Technical Team to help create and teach the brand’s Sales training program. This role will also be a critical player in helping to develop a best practice sales approach and strategy for the Brand. This includes creating CEUs, presentations, conducting New Hire Training and assist with the onboarding of new Sales Representatives. Perform ongoing and individualized training for the KnollTextiles Sales Team, and developing a small group of sales representatives that help with in-field training. This role will also be involved in providing valuable market and rep input to the marketing and design teams in an effort to help guide and grow the brand.
As a Sales Representative with 10 years of experience in the design industry, you will be responsible for sales through calling on the Architectural and Design community in Austin and San Antonio. The position is based out of Austin, TX. This position is responsible for maximizing and growing revenue and profits within his/her assigned geography. The representative will expand upon opportunities with existing customers, as well as acquire new business. The key responsibility of a Sales Representative is to create a superior sales experience and set the stage for effective follow-up and future product sales. Responsibilities also include:
Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to buy textiles.
Drive sales through product knowledge and workplace knowledge which will enable you to align key business objectives of clients.
Become a trusted resource and develop superior relationships with customer
Successfully manage and overcome customer objections
Maintain an appropriate level of sales activity by conducting a minimum number of sales appointments per week as designated by the Textiles VP
Monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices, and sales
Required Skills
Self-motivated, self-directed with a track record of lead follow-up and sales development
The successful candidate must possess a strong work ethic, be confident and energetic
Organization and good time management skills a must
Must be a well-informed communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, a team player
Evening entertainment required
Design and/ or industry related sales experience preferred
Consistent record of accomplishments
TRAVEL
Up to 50 % overnight travel
Must have own vehicle
Required Experience
Bachelor’s (BA/BS) in Interior Design, Marketing or related discipline preferred
Requires ten or more (10 ) years sales experience
