SUMMARY: Under the guidance of the Sr. Sales Director the Mechanically Separated Chicken (MSC) Sr. Sales Manager is responsible for the overall business management of all domestic and international MSC accounts to achieve sales and profit objectives. This individual must have the ability to understand all aspects of the business which includes establishing and maintaining relationships with Customers, Sales, Marketing, Production, Logistics, R&D and QA.

The position requires the ability to motivate these groups to work together to satisfy all customers and must have in-depth knowledge of the industry to effectively manage the fundamentals ensuring optimal pricing for contract and spot business. Additionally, this position needs to identify new product opportunities to expand the business vertically into higher value offerings. Initiates and closes all MSC customer contracts; Overseas CSA activities on all contract and spot market sales; Coordinates with Transportation to ensure on-time delivery of product; Addresses all Customer issues and serves as interface between Production, QA and Customers; Works with Supply Chain Team to ensure supply demand balance monitoring production and inventory levels to ensure adequate amounts are available to meet customer needs; Works with R&D to develop new products; Manages all aspects of the MSC portfolio which includes analyzing weekly sales information in regards to inventory velocity cost and profitability. Works with accounting to perform budgeting and financial analysis functions in support of on-going management and ownership of P&L; Responsible for working with the Product Management Team to facilitate product management and execute marketing activities.

REQUIREMENTS:


Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA preferred.

Experience: 5 plus years of sales experience preferred. Commodities sales experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Very proficient computer and internet skills. Knowledge of the Tyson Systems is helpful.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent speaking Spanish is preferred.

Travel: Significant travel 15 or more trips per year.

Supervisory Skills: This position is responsible for managing a Team of Customer Service Associates CSAs and leading many indirect cross-functional team members to ensure the success of the business.
