As Assistant Director of Sales you will Assists the Commercial Director in the management, coordination, and execution of items related to the marketing and sales operations of the hotel and is ready to develop into a Director of Sales position in the near future. Responsible for the management and solicitation of a designated market / Segment / Key Accounts.

What will I be doing?

As Assistant Director of Sales you will Assists the Commercial Director in the management, coordination, and execution of items related to the marketing and sales operations of the hotel and is ready to develop into a Director of Sales position in the near future. Responsible for the management and solicitation of a designated market / Segment / Key Accounts.An Assistant Director of Sales will work to develop the sales group and groom a high-performing sales team. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


Pro-actively sell Waldorf Astoria RAK in all segments and managing the territory’s key accounts
Co-ordination and implementation of thesales activities and alignment of strategy with the hotel business mix with the aim of optimal room occupancy and maximizing revenues, while minimizing the costs involve
Organizes and supervises departmental activities including tele-marketing, prospecting and qualifying potential leads, soliciting viable leads, preparing and presenting written proposals/contracts and oral presentation
Managing contacts with regular customers, key contacts as well as new customer acquisitions
Develops target lists and action plans to maintain and grow existing accounts as well as develop new accounts in the.
Planning organization of written, telephone and personal contacts with customers and supervision of these contacts
Attending trade shows nationally worldwide, organizing national and international sales calls, conducting site visits and client entertainment on property
Strongcollaboration with national and worldwide sales teams as well as tourism development authority to promote destination and hotel other departments in the hotel, including the commercial as well as operational departments
Continuously leading and developing the Sales Team consisting of all new team members
Ensuring permanent observation of the market and competitors and developing sales initiatives and promotions based on the findings
Continuous improvement of the product range and the image of the hotel
Assists in compiling sales forecasts, development of guest room rates, collection and reporting of sales data, and management of sales department budget.
Directs maintenance of sales files, accounts and other administrative duties.

Degree-level qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous
