In support of Site Manager, supervises and develops a team of Licensed Sales Territory Representatives. Acts as a liaison to key internal and external stakeholders to drive organizational key performance indicators as directed by the Site Manager. Conducts regular sales meetings with team to increase product and market knowledge and share best practices.
Responsibilities:
Implements performance standards, new business and retention goals, and quality reporting objectives for assigned teams. Supervises Territory Representatives to ensure Sales targets are met, quality book of business is written and quality control processes are in place. Plans and implements corrective actions to improve results as needed.
Analyzes team data to establish progress towards goals and identify potential obstacles. Prepares, analyzes and makes recommendations based upon data from production and productivity reports.
Implements policies, procedures, and practices related to the Licensed Sales Center; implements new and revised departmental and corporate policies and procedures.
Implements Licensed Sales campaigns in conjunction with independent agent partners. Identifies workflow and systems requirements in support of operational goals and objectives.
Develops and maintains a strong working relationship with all sales center staff to ensure clients and agents are serviced properly and efficiently. Utilizes Aspect phone features to monitor calls and provide coaching feedback to Territory Reps.
Reviews underwriting recommendations from Territory Representatives utilizing underwriting rules and guidelines in order to bind coverage. Authorizes exceptions to guidelines as warranted.
Investigates and responds to customer complaints generated from unit.
Oversees hiring process for Territory Representatives; has full responsibility for recruiting, retaining and developing representatives; ensures staffing plans are in alignment with site and organizational workforce plans.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 2 years of directly related work experience is required.
Must have a strong knowledge of a variety of Liberty Mutual Agency Corporation insurance products, plans, and programs.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, and the capacity to multi-task in a structured work environment, are required.
Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information is critical.
Proficiency with computers is mandatory.
Position requires a valid resident insurance license and non-resident licenses in all states Safeco Licensed Sales operates.
