A National Sales Manager - Group represents the hotel in the development of group market segment(s) specific to incentive segment and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships with assigned accounts while consistently striving to maximize revenue in rooms, food and beverage, spa and ancillary products and services.Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is looking for dynamic individuals with experience and relationships in luxury group incentive event segment and who are well rounded and business minded. T he position can be remote based the US and willing to travel to clients and the resort as the role demands . This proactive role is perfect for someone that loves a fast paced, everchanging environment, on a purpose driven team that is award winning best in class for Hilton Luxury Brands and the destination of Los Cabos.

The National Sales Manager-Group is responsible to prospect, establish and grow a broad base of accounts that enable the resort to exceed set revenue goals in the area of rooms, food and beverage, spa and other ancillary revenues. This position was designated for a seasoned sales professional who has demonstrated consistently in strong revenue production. As a true sales leader this individual will promote and implement best-in-class strategy and relationship building techniques to further strengthen the resort as the leader in the luxury hospitality space. The National Sales Manager-Group may also have property specific goals and responsibilities depending on the individual and business needs of the company.

Develop a business strategy by analyzing historical, current and future hotel and market trends, implementing marketing initiatives to capture the maximum amount of lead revenue to meet and exceed sales goals.

Collaborate with current group sales leaders and DOSM to identify most effective strategies to build relations and secure incentive event groups looking for on of the most unforgettable experiences at a top global luxury resort.

What will I be doing?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance.
Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers.
Lead and participate in special projects and teams to drive business objectives, best-practice sharing and process standardization.
Measure and analyze data and drive sales analysis activities that are aligned with our global business and growth strategies.

This role requires strong sales, communication, and networking skills. The ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs and then apply a disciplined approach to qualify, negotiate and secure revenue for the hotel.

·Customer and Account Management - Apply strong sales skills to create customer value. Differentiate Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal from the global luxury event competition and bring clear value to customers and the organizations they represent.

·Prospecting- Demonstrate a mastery of the prospecting process. Identify potential customers. Prepare and implement your prospecting and relationship strategy.

·Negotiations- Understand the customer and the business leaders expectations. Adapt to a changing market.

Position Summary

As a Team Member in this role, you will be responsible to:

Customer and Account Management:

·Develop and execute plans to engage in outside sales calls, industry tradeshows and customer events.

·Develop, execute and communicate a monthly, quarterly and annual business plan for a designated market.

·Maintain up to date pipeline of business opportunities that will meet the short and long term business objectives for the designated market.

·Represent hotel in all interactions dealing with their customers relative to sales, including creating business proposals and executing contracts.

·Actively engage with **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Sales, and Intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business for the Resort.

Coordinate and conduct site inspections and familiarity trips through masterful story telling with prospective and existing customers based on their individual needs.

·Coordinate customer specifications (including room, food and beverage and meeting space requirements) via identified lead management system. Enter and maintain pertinent account and booking information in Delphi FDC in accordance with defined standards.

Prospecting:

·Research, qualify and generate new leads for business opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts, relationship building while maximizing revenues and exceeding goals.

·Create and execute plan to shift share from global and local competitors.

·Engage in outside sales activities to uncover needs, build relationships and to win new business.

Negotiations:

·Negotiate contracts and commission agreements with end user customers and intermediaries.

·Provide solutions that both achieve and protect the financial goals of the hotel while strengthening relationships with customers.

What are we looking for?

A Groups Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:


High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
5 years’ prior luxury hotel sales at a 5 Star level or related experience required.
Sophisticated and established relationships within market strongly preferred.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Delphi.
Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.
Working knowledge of revenue management.
Knowledge of hotel and competitive market.
Ability to analyze data and establish appropriate action plans.
