Job Description:
This role is an important part of the US Fleet Solutions Team and requires strong sales and business development skills. We are seeking a high energy individual that adapts quickly to a changing environment and perform well in the face of adversity. The position covers the Western US states of OR, WA, CO, ID, MT, UT, and WY.
There is a preference for the successful candidate to be located in the Denver area but other western cities would be an option.
The successful candidate must have exceptional prospecting and time management skills with both a strategic and tactical mindset in developing and managing a large territory portfolio. The successful candidate will be a true sales professional – enthusiastic, proactive, a self-starter, with a demonstrated track record and enthusiasm for selling. In the position, you will have the opportunity to;
Identify, Research Contact, Negotiate and Close companies with medium and large fleets.
Cultivate true partnerships with customers based on a clear understanding of Shell’s Fleet Solutions range of CVPs, and fully understand customer needs in order to deliver maximum value for both Shell and the customer.
Carry out financial negotiations with customers, preparing quotations and proposals and reach agreement on all operational requirements (including: price, contract, payment terms and services).
Plan for, monitor and exceed individual and team sales targets.
Consistently apply Sales 1st standards to demonstrate best-in-class structure for call plans, calendar management, account plans and use of CRM tools to maximize customer facing time
Safety (Shell HSSE) mindset: proactive contribution to the HSSE journey, including leveraging Shell leadership in HSSE for commercial advantage.
Aggressively manage value growth, with a deep understanding of value generation and financial dimensions (value drivers, P&L impact of integrated offers, and cash impact of business deals).

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in a business related field (required).
Minimum of three (3 ) years of outside sales experience (Large Market Fleet Card sales highly valued).
Ability to sell B2B prospects through a wide range of Customer Value Propositions (CVP) and possess the ability to select and pursue the ones that are best fit opportunities.
Proven record of competence in prospecting, presenting, negotiating, closing and developing large market companies.
Working knowledge of general and specific customer operations and financials.
Financial acumen including knowledge of P&L, cash, ROACE, ERR and capability to structure deals that maximize value for both parties.
Strong technical fluency with Microsoft Office and CRM programs.
Strong interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to manage relationships at all levels
Strong credibility (or proven willingness and capability to improve) with interpersonal and general business etiquette skills.
