Position overview:
Brightcove is in search of an experienced, process driven, and open-minded Sales Operations Specialist to join our global Revenue Operations department. This position will partner with all stakeholders at all levels across our Sales and Customer Success teams to provide support for standard and non-standard deals. Working cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Pricing and other organizations, you will ensure that deals are structured to comply with all current rules of engagement, meet all required approvals, and are booked with all the necessary paperwork in place. As part of the Revenue Operations team, this position will also collaborate with our Salesforce Administrator and other internal teams to deliver a world class quote and contract management experience for our Sales organization.
Key Responsibilities (but is not limited to):
Support standard and non-standard deals from start to finish, acting as a trusted advisor for Sales and Customer Success
Assist with quote generation and provide quote reviews
Handle escalations for non-standard deals and agreements
Provide guidance on deal structuring in a way that meets customers’ requirements, sets them up for maximum success
Get involved early in the deal process to prevent show stopping issues later in the booking process
Work with Rev Ops colleagues to ensure processes are documented and that changes are communicated to stakeholders
Partner closely with various stakeholders from Sales, Finance, Product, Marketing and Legal to maintain and enhance quoting and contracting processes
Identify opportunities to improve the sales process, identify bottlenecks, resolve inconsistencies, and improve efficiency and effectiveness
Participate in deal reviews and commercial conversations with Sales and Customer Success
Monitor and respond to deal structure/registration, pricing, CPQ, and other Salesforce.com support requests
Use reports and dashboard from Revenue Operations, looking for patterns/trends
Other related duties as appropriate and required
Position Requirements:
3 years of proven success in similar roles, preferable within a SaaS environment
BA/BS degree preferred
Knowledge of sales operations, deal desk, and sales methodologies and processes preferred
Self-starter with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and tasks
Salesforce.com experience and familiarity with CPQ preferred
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Proven ability to think critically and creatively to solve problems
Self-motivated; highly driven to produce results as a team member and individual contributor
Customer-focused
Organized, detail-oriented, persistent, flexible, tactful and diplomatic
Highly responsive and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Able to work extended hours during the quarter-end cycles
