Our growth story is only just beginning, and our Sales Engineering team is pivotal in sustaining our rapid growth across the globe. We are looking for a highly collaborative, outcome-oriented Sales Engineer, to help us bring home the technical win and take on this huge market opportunity.
YOUR MISSION
Working hand in hand with the global field sales team, you will solve for some of the most interesting business-critical challenges and transformations. You will focus on helping organizations embrace digital transformation, to be disruptors and avoid being disrupted. As the CEO aka “ZEO” of your domain, you will become an expert on the entire quote to cash cycle. You will leverage your technical prowess to knock out the competition and demonstrate how Zuora allows the world’s largest companies to unlock new growth and become successful in the Subscription Economy.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Become a key partner to our global sales team and work closely with Sales Engineers and Account Executives from US, Europe, and APAC region
Serve as the go-to technical subject matter expert by consulting prospects in their transition to The Subscription Economy
Complete Zuora’s in depth onboarding and sales training to become an expert in Zuora’s products, services, unique solutions, and technical capabilities
WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE
Analyze and understand customers objectives and the current business and technical situation in the respective context of the customer engagement
Respond to RFI’s / RFP’s
Create end to end use case specific demonstrations mapped to prospects’ strategic objectives across industries
Secure technical wins by differentiating Zuora against the competition, handle technical objections and mitigate any concerns that might block a deal from closing
Act as the front line liaison to our product management team by informing our product roadmap based on prospects’ needs
Collaborate with global sales engineers, solution architects in overall design and approach
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
3 years relevant experience in a Sales Engineering, IT Consulting or solutioning role
Self-motivation and the desire to learn and become an expert on the entire quote to cash cycle for enterprise businesses across any sales channel in The Subscription Economy
Excellent presentation, written communication skills, and the ability to drive discussions for both small and large groups within organizations
An understanding of subscription and recurring revenue business models
Familiarity with quote to cash processes or supporting SaaS products such as CRM, CPQ, Billing, ERP(SAP, Oracle, NetSuite - Sales or Finance modules) , Revenue Management, or related Cloud technologies.
Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, high growth environment.
General understanding of API development and various coding languages (php, ruby, java)
Bachelor’s degree in engineering / Computer Science or a related technology field is strongly preferred
