Summary:

The Sr. Sales Planning Manager, Breakfast Center of Plate, Prepared Foodservice is responsible for coordinating strategies to enable sales activation, execution of the business unit's Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the team’s attainment of Prepared business goals. This role will work with the SS&P and Sales leadership team members to ensure that the customer voice is embedded in internal decisions. They will utilize information on complex category initiatives, volume and share trends, to be in integral part of the S&OP demand process. The ideal candidate will be able to use data to assist to develop category, channel and business driving programs and innovation strategies, in partnership with our BU and Sales leadership teams. This role will work with Sales leadership to enhance CRM integrity, and provide analytical feedback on CRM utilization and field compliance. This position will report to the Director, Prepared Foodservice SS&P.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Lead sales strategy & planning for Breakfast Center of Plate for Prepared Foodservice

Be a voice for the field sales teams, customer & internal business partners

Assist with creating and evaluating investment alternatives using customer segmentation data

Assist with strategy development and executional sales elements of the assigned categories throughout the planning process

Utilize reporting to monitor FS Prepared AOP performance and offer insights on areas of opportunity

Analyze business results through various sales, industry, and category insight reports for the Prepared BU

Participate in sales planning process for assigned categories and manage product allocation when necessary

Provide key inputs into the S&OP process by providing customer/category intelligence

Coordinate and manage forecasting performance review for prepared business unit

Utilize reporting to track sales performance and achieve KPI goal attainment

Provides inputs for consideration in the demand and financial forecast processes

Utilize post-initiative recaps to improve forecasting and execution process

Collaborate with field sales to assist in strategy execution and goal attainment

Communicate pertinent information to Sales pertaining to strategy, planning, processes, and cross-functional business

Coordinate and communicate relevant information used for forecasting and deploying inventory to supply planning partners

Key interactions include: SS&P VP and Directors from BU’s, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Revenue Management, Sales, and Customer Development

Manages ad-hoc SS&P VP/Director requests

Values, establishes, nurtures, and maintains productive working relationships with internal stakeholders

Qualifications:



Education: Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred

Experience: Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in customer/trade marketing, sales, marketing & sales analytics, or category management. Demonstrated financial acumen, with joint growth planning experience a plus; Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence cross-functional leadership

Communication Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills; Strong influencing and negotiating skills; Strong ability to articulate complex information in a concise manner and with proper context

Computer Skills: Intermediate-Advanced level for MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams; prior experience with Tyson CRM preferred

Special Skills: Excellent planning and project management skills; Strong Excel and data manipulation skills; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Business acumen and ownership; Able to effectively maneuver through ambiguous situations; Forecasting and model building experience.

Travel: Some travel is required, up to 30% of time
