**A day in the Life:**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Account Manager (SAM) to join our Medtronic team, reporting to the Strategic Sales Director - ANZ and working with our Medical/Surgical (MS) portfolio. You will be responsible for enabling the individual Medical/Surgical Operating Units to achieve their goals by applying commercial excellence with our public and private buying influences. We will secure sustainable contracts for profitable revenue and share growth in the private and public sector, pursue new business opportunities and execute the pan-Medtronic and MS portfolio customer value proposition with C-Suite & Executive partners to drive mutual benefit. By forging long-term partnerships at the C-Suite level and with national Groups, we create opportunities for access to Medtronic technologies and drive product penetration.
In this role you will:
Protect and generate incremental revenue from a portfolio of Key Accounts within your nominated State(s) in accordance with agreed targets
Own the C-Suite relationship (CEO, CFO etc) and serve as the lead point of contact for all business development related matters for Key Accounts in your region
Be the lead Strategic Account Manager for the MS portfolio for one or more National Buying Groups, and work as required as part of a pan-Medtronic team of Corporate Account Managers & Strategic Account Managers
Maximise business results through outstanding stewardship of customer rebate agreements, contracted pricing offers and investments
Work towards an overall MS target, by adapting to necessary business models in order to generate required business revenue
Manage sales related activities including offer modelling and analytics, proposal preparation, offer presentation, contract and terms negotiations, price negotiation, cost analysis, liability and exposure management and negotiation, for your region
Grow collaborative and synergistic relationships across the MS portfolio
Seek out new opportunities and be an invaluable business partner for MS Leads/Directors
**Must Have:**
Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Sales, Economics or Marketing (Bachelors Degree as a minimum)
Minimum of 5 years sales leadership or business leadership experience in the medical devices sector
Several jurisdictions across Australia have established mandatory requirements for healthcare workers and others working in health care settings to be vaccinated with at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. To be eligible to apply and be considered for this role, Medtronic Australasia requires candidates to meet the conditions of the relevant and current Government directions (including Public Health Orders). The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of vaccination before an appointment.
