Sales Manager
on behalf of our client a leading automotive and dealership franchise group. Indeed, this is a full time permanent role and will suits candidates in Kildare, Laois or West Dublin region.
You will be a seasoned person (min 5 years sales manager experience) with a strong commercial approach who also has experience in leading a sales team in the automotive industry ideally working previously with an established dealership brand.
Indeed, the Sales Manager will have ultimate responsibility for target achievement along with profitability in both the new and used vehicle departments and for customer retention.
To achieve this, the successful candidate must effectively manage the sale team in a performance driven environment, have a strong knowledge of the market, and an in-depth understanding of all sales departments' financial data/KPIs as well as strong customer relations skills
The role:
Creating the annual dealership sales forecasts to include total vehicle sales, gross and operating profits as well as expenses for the new and used vehicle sales channels
Supervision of the individual sales executives to plan and implement objectives for achieving sales and gross profit targets.
Managing the performance of the department through effective communication and appropriate meeting schedules.
Implementation of and adherence to the enquiry management system and the defined sales processes.
Responsibility for the continuous development of the sales executives in association with the group HR department.
Ensuring best-practice standards for displaying and merchandising new and used vehicles and facilitating maximum collaboration with the used vehicle controller.
Collaboration with the marketing team in all promotional activity.
Coordinating the appropriate supply of new and used vehicles and ordering/acquiring vehicle inventory accordingly.
Attending to customer issues, ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is obtained.
Auditing all appraisals of trade-in vehicles.
Issuing all demonstration vehicles and ensuring that appropriate dealership records are maintained
The Person
Minimum of 5 years previous experience as a sales manager of a franchise dealership.
Demonstrable ability to achieve targeted volume.
Experience of actively manage budgets and department profitability.
Capable people manager who can create and maintain a target driven sales environment
A high level of innovation and problem solving.
Industry knowledge leadership.
