Job Details:
The Director, SS&P (Sales Strategy & Planning) is responsible for the sales activation and execution of the Business Unit's Annual Operating Plan (AOP), obtaining our ACV goals and ensuring that the customer voice is embedded in all internal decisions. This person owns delivering the associated AOP revenue, volume, distribution, and trade investments. They provide input and activate Category Leadership Platforms, measure volume and share insights and lead the S&OP demand process. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for leading a team to develop category, brand and innovation strategies/ sell stories . Ensuring field compliance of trade ROI and strategic pricing initiatives are also critical components of this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Guides AOP/SP (Strategic Plan) through knowledge of customer and category base
Develops strategies to accelerate growth trajectory and minimize risks associated with both top line and bottom line results
Owns profitability, revenue, volume, trade spending, trade ROI, ACV and Net Recovery associated with AOP
Owns annual base and innovation forecasting as key member of S&OP process
Brings Category Leadership Platforms to life in the marketplace
Consummate voice for the field, customer & internal business partners
Determines best investment alternatives via customer segmentation & revenue management
Owns the final approval of 4Ps (Pricing, Promotion, Placement, Product)
Acts as lead on cross category initiatives for Strategy and Planning Department
Leads and develops high-performing team
Critical consultant cross-functionally with Insights, Innovation, Brand, Project Management, Customer Teams, Category Leadership, Supply Chain and Finance
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred
Minimum 10 years CPG experience in sales, customer marketing, category management and/or sales planning
Strong financial acumen, trade management , Joint Business Planning and strategic pricing competency required
Advanced communication skills are required including the ability to articulate complexity concisely, provide context, implications and solutions to senior business leaders & demonstrate courageous yet constructive candor
Ability to partner, manage and influence large cross-functional teams
Team management experience

Computer Skills: Intermediate-Advanced level for MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Direct Reports: 2-4
Travel: Some travel is required (1-2 trips/month)
