The National General Agency Relationship Manager will partner with Humana's wholesale distribution partners (General Agents) as well as the local sales markets to facilitate and implement strategies to grow Humana's commercial group membership through the General Agency distribution channel.

The National General Agency Relationship Manger will cultivate relationships and execute sales strategies with Humana's wholesale distribution partners to impact growth within the channel. This role will be responsible for effectively managing case pipeline and sales opportunities while collaborating closely with Humana market leaders as well as the small business leadership team to execute key initiatives with Humana's wholesale distribution partners. In addition, this position will work closely with other business leaders, marketing, and operations to ensure effective and strategic sales strategies are executed for the channel. Lastly, this role will perform other relevant duties deemed necessary to achieve channel and company-wide goals.
Create and execute sales growth strategies with Humana's wholesale General Agents while collaborating with the local market leadership and sales teams.
Manage and facilitate weekly pipeline & Sales metric discussions with general agent/ wholesale partners
Use reporting and analytical data to provide guidance and insights to wholesale distribution partners
Serve as a business and sales liaison between Humana's wholesale distributors, the local Humana markets, and the Humana small business leadership team
Create, track and communicate key performance results for the channel
Create and distribute General Agency Communication for both internal sales teams as well as general agency sales teams.
Collaborate with Humana's wholesale general agency partners to identify and resolve gaps or issues in our processes
Required Qualifications
Active resident Life and Health insurance license in state of residence
5 years of sales and/or business development experience
2 years of sales experience in the insurance industry
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present to large groups
Results driven individual with experience working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Willingness and ability to travel at a rate of approximately 50% nationwide, including overnight travel.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of sales experience working for or managing wholesale/general agent distribution partners.
Bachelors degree
Travel
50% travel nationwide is required.
