Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position will strategically lead and coordinate the implementation of the Tyson Production System TPS Including Blitz Process Improvement activities across Business areas including Poultry, Prepared Manufacturing, Fresh Meats, Shared Services, and Enterprise to include production systems, complexes, plants, distribution centers, suppliers value streams and core businesses. Responsibilities include leading and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles, following the TPS guidelines, developing content and training team members on TPS fundamentals, managing and administering TPS initiatives timelines and deployment plans, informing and advising appropriate leaders of TPS progress, leading and coaching both business professionals and subsequent business partners on the establishment of a TPS culture and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelors degree preferred; Degrees in Engineering, Meat Science, Animal Science or Operations Management are beneficial. Experience: 5 plus years of experience in Continuous Improvement-related positions in Operations, Sales Marketing or Shared Services; experience in Change Management or Relationship Management required.

Technical Skills: Microsoft Office including PowerPoint Project Manager Excel and Word. Must have the ability to quickly learn new systems and organize significant amounts of information in a professional manner.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills are required. Project management experience preferred.

Travel: Greater than 80% travel required

Position Specific: Strong knowledge of practical lean manufacturing principles. Ability to teach and coach employees at all levels in the use of lean tools presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner. Excellent project management skills. Creative in problem solving and innovative approaches to resolve complex problems.
