Description
The Manager, Specialty Sales & Retention - Employer Group responds to inbound calls inquiring about commercial health plans, places outbound calls based on leads, and completes the sales of products and/or services. The Manager, Specialty Sales & Retention - Employer Group works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.
Responsibilities
The Manager, Specialty Sales & Retention - Employer Group arranges for field representative to visit prospect if sales are not closed. Responsible for managing the day-to-day selling and/or account management for Medicare Inside Sales/ Telesales. Accountable for achieving new sales and/or renewal goals for defined territory or book of accounts. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross departmental collaboration, and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.
Required Qualifications
Active Life & Health Insurance License
Background in Commercial Line Insurance products
3 to 5 years of experience working in a virtual telesales organization; including managing a virtual team
Data Analysis and Strategy experience - ability to identify new ways to sell, innovate and increase sales growth
Intermediate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
Ability to grow an Inside Sales team and be part of the relationship building with Agents and Brokers through digital experiences
Comfortable collaborating with leadership
Ability to travel 15-20% within territory (Midwest / East Coast) as well as traveling to the Humana office in Wisconsin based on business need
Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.
A dedicated home office space, with a locked door, lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Associates working in the state of Arizona must comply with the Tobacco Free Hiring Policy (see details below under Additional Information) and upon offer will be subjected to nicotine testing as part of a 10-panel drug test
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Experience with Specialty Insurance Products such as Dental, Vision and Life
Experience with Tableau and Salesforce
