As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing our channels financial stake while building solid partnerships with our OEM/FWS customers. As well, you will have responsibilities towards growing overall volume and improving the premium lubricant share of Pennzoil brands within the OEM/FWS channel. Specialized tactics include, training of automotive dealer personnel, activation of marketing activities, cross-sell, up-sell with current Shell customers, and new dealer acquisition to OEM lubricants program. This role will require you, working through the direction of senior account managers, to assist in the development of well-structured strategic plans that encompass North American initiatives, and then manage the successful implementation of these strategies at the field level.
You will be working closely with local sales teams, cross functional internal and external teams to accomplish objectives. This position requires a pro-active mind-set and the ability to meet targets with limited local supervision, however, the ability to communicate results effectively with your supervisor and key internal stakeholders on a consistent basis is a job priority.
Other responsibilities:
Work closely with team in field and account team lead in order support planned Volume, Margins, Product mix, Proceeds and DSO targets delivery
Consolidate and manage account opportunities` pipeline which will lead business growth
Provide structured coaching and support to LKAMs jointly visiting dealers’ workshops and BCs in order to ensure commercial excellence and improve relationship
When required, work closely with Customer Operations to manage customer set-up, amendments, pricing/rebates, and customer care topics in a timely manner
Provide regular updates to the S&OP team to ensure accurate forecasts are in place for both existing and new business.
Work closely with the Technical and Marketing teams to identify both Cross Sell and Up Sell opportunities. Support development of new (and improve existing) Customer Value Propositions (CVPs)
Have an in-depth knowledge of the key competitors and understand their strengths and weaknesses thereby exploiting opportunities arising from these
Join the account corporate meetings in order to ensure alignment between field operations and corporate
Constantly seek profitability/operational improvement opportunities
What do we need from you?
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum three (3) years in sales experience dealing with complex, multi-site corporate accounts, preferably with at least two (2) experience in an automotive background
Significant Sales experience, with proven success in developing profitable business.
Strong Customer focus, preferably with Key Accounts and Distributors Channel Management experience.
Marketing, Finance, Operations and / or Business knowledge very much preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and able to build constructive relationship with customers and Distributors.
Travel can be up to 50% based on business need in the territory
