This Customer Development Manager position is responsible for leading, building and implementing collaborative business solutions which are aligned with both Tyson and Costco’s objectives that achieve desired business results. This position must develop and strengthen a mutual relationship with the Customer at multiple levels resulting in strategic business planning and partnership. This CDM role is responsible for managing and developing Tyson’s regional Branded business initiatives, which requires strong skills in selling, project development, portfolio product knowledge, enterprise capabilities and the ability to navigate cross functionally. It is essential to provide clear sales direction, support and information to the customer and internal cross-functional partners, while demonstrating the companies 5 C's behaviors of caring, candor, creativity, collaboration and commitment.
Responsibilities include: Leading our regional portfolio initiatives at Costco NW, BA, LA and SD. Develop and maintain strategic customer relationships. Achieve sales volume and spending budgets while maintaining T&E, AR, Deductions, forecasting accuracy. Negotiate and manage our regional contracts and volume commitments. Maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews, volume commitments, documentation and trackers. Provide timely concise and effective communication both internally and externally. REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Exper ience: 5 plus years of industry sales experience preferred. 2 plus years sales experience in Wholesale Club channel and or 2 plus years Direct Sales Experience with Costco preferred.
Computer Skills: Expected to be fully literate in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Forecasting Trade Management System (APEX) and SAP strongly preferred
Strong Selling and organization skills along the ability to navigate cross functionally to find solutions. Strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and interpersonal communication skills; Ability to work independently; Ability to translate customer direction into sales successes.
Travel: 12 or more domestic trips per year
