Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for improving the efficiency and productivity of new and existing CBSI Financial Advisors, as well as learning/training on aspects of the Financial Advisor role. In this role the Senior Sales Assistant will work in a capacity to support the overall program . The Senior Sales Assistant role allows for the building of a book of business to help facilitate the bridge to a Financial Advisor position in the future.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist representative to include the following, but not limited to:

Onboarding new Associate Financial Advisors and Financial Advisors

Work closely with the Program Manager to develop CBSI/Credit Union program

Assist with special projects to support the growth of the program

Client servicing (address changes, questions, account changes, etc.). Serves as a second source for the existing Financial Advisors’ clients.

Establish and maintain client files to meet compliance requirements.

Lead marketing campaigns and special projects outlined by manager of the program

Review submitted paperwork for accuracy and completeness; follow up with representative, client or home office to obtain necessary documentation.

Process paperwork for annuities and life products.

Complete mutual fund trade tickets, place trades and monitor for settlement.

May engage in unsolicited trades.

Run illustrations, assist in fund performance research and prepare client presentations for representative.

In this role you are expected to fulfill all functions of a Financial Advisor role to any client you add to your book of business and to act as a Sales Assistant to your Financial Advisor’s book of business.

Present and train staff at branch meetings.

In partnership with the existing Financial Advisor, expected to start to build own book of business both from the existing clients and new referrals assigned to you by the Financial Advisor.

Develop strong relationships with members by consistently using the prescribed sales process.

Cultivate strong working relationships and trust among credit union staff by conducting regular training, attendance/participation at credit union staff meetings and functions and sending referrals back to the credit union.

Effectively implement/leverage technology and other available investment tools and resources to provide clients an exceptional member experience on a consistent basis.

Adhere to all FINRA, CBSI and insurance rules and regulations, as well as to all company policies.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or equivalent trade off in professional work experience.

1-2 years successful financial services sales/support experience

FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Examination, Series 7, 63 and IAR (65/66 or appropriate designation) registrations.

Life, health, and variable insurance license

Demonstrated ability to effectively build business relationships with diverse clients.

Demonstrated ability to translate complex information, create and deliver an effective message scaled to appropriate audience.

High level oral and written communication skills.

Ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining good organizational skills.

Ability to work under pressure and within time frames.

Self-motivated and able to perform tasks without supervision.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

Base Salary Range:

$33,700.00 - $56,200.00
