What’s the role?

The purpose of the Pricing Analyst role is to support the implementation, continuous management, and execution of Shell’s pricing strategy across Latin America for Shell’s Lubricants business.

Accountabilities:

Create incremental value through creative pricing structures or cost reduction initiatives.

Reporting directly to the Regional Pricing Manager, you will work directly with the marketing and sales teams to meet commercial goals.

The analyst will conduct tasks to support the price management activity using the agreed Price Management Framework to ensure that we meet and exceed the agreed business targets.

Works closely with Pricing Manager, sales team, marketing and interaction with GMs, and a variety of different roles across the lubricants business.

Support business strategy by providing data to influence strategic pricing decisions that meet business objectives and top line profitable growth.

Be up to date on pricing data/tools (e.g. market dynamics, competitor intelligence, brand health, brand maps, value chain analysis).

Take direction from and make clear recommendations to Pricing Manager in order to support goal of identifying multi-channel price strategy.

To collect and analyze pricing data in a multichannel context where consumer offers, inter-channel conflicts, value chain composition, Shell performance and competitive context vary considerably from market to market.

To support pricing business growth strategy with a targeted marketing mix.

Monitor costs and identify areas of opportunity to optimize costs .

To support fundamental changes in competitive strategy and process, having knowledge of market-drivers for setting price strategy as well as a discipline around ongoing price management.

Influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements:

What we need from you

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Marketing discipline, MBA preferred.

Minimum 3 years of work experience in Sales & Marketing, channel/distributor management, market analysis, or supply chain.

Background in sales or working closely with sales.

Broad Marketing background.

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.

Ability to work under minimal supervision, handle multiple task/project, and being self-motivated.

Demonstrated results-orientation, customer service-focus, and entrepreneurship.

Motivation to create value for organization through creative pricing & sales proposals.

Fluent in Spanish required.
