The award-winning AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for an Account Director to join the Sales Team!
Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.
The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and IRD.
In this role, you will respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc., as well as solicit and initiate new sales to potential clients. This role will focus on the leisure and travel transient market.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years hotel selling experience, in the luxury leisure and travel transient market. It is also required to be in market near the resort for site visits and connecting with clients when programs are onsite. Delphi FDC experience is preferred. Luxury and/or resort experience is required.

What will I be doing?
As an Account Director, you would be responsible for serving as the hotel representative to prospective clients and customers who need to rent rooms, meeting space, food and beverage service, etc. Specifically, this includes but is not limited to:
Researches, develops and solicits new FIT and Group Tour business while maintaining relationships with current accounts.
Travels outside of the office to meet with customers and prospective customers to develop business, make proposals, negotiate contracts, maintain contacts, conduct site inspections and close deals.
Consistently meets with and entertains customers, conducts property tours, participates in tradeshows and industry and community events to promote facilities and services. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.

Salary Range: The annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
