Description
The Lead Sales Support Professional provides timely and effective sales support to assist with the acquisition or retention of customers. The Lead Sales Support Professional works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
The Lead Sales Support Professional requires the ability to manage multiple projects from concept to completion under tight timelines, drive strategy and execution across multiple business teams, and collaborate with Group Medicare leadership to lead award-winning proposals. This incumbent will work very closely with Group Medicare sales and account management teams to ensure we are presenting Humana is the most competitive manner.
The individual in this role will be a thought leader, advising executives on matters of significance to drive new client/member growth and retain/grow current clients/members. He/she will be comfortable working autonomously, exercising independent judgement and bringing partners along throughout RFP/RFI strategy development and execution. Importantly, this incumbent will demonstrate a deep understanding of Group Medicare client and member needs which will be translated into winning proposal strategies. Key needs include quickly understanding and prioritizing current RFPs/RFIs, identifying and closing competitor gaps and working with competitor information to measure results and pivot accordingly.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (6 years)
Group Medicare RFP/Proposal experience
6 years Complex RFP/RFI management experience
Experience developing strategy to obtain new business
Project leadership experience
Strong financial and business acumen (understanding/ability to communicate with Underwriting and Actuarial teams)
Demonstrated effectiveness in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Outstanding communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including assertiveness, courage, and the ability to influence others
Excellent relationship management skills, demonstrating mature confidence and integrity
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, both as a lead and as a part of a team
Ability to work in a team environment to collate and act upon feedback from all levels within the business
Ability to assimilate, analyze, draw conclusions, and make recommendations from multi-faceted and often ambiguous data/information
Ability to be flexible and willing to learn new skill sets quickly as the need arises
WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required. A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Additional information
Schedule : Typical Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. This is a salaried position, there time when workload will require additional work time during the week or weekend, dependent on due dates and workload.
Training: Virtual 'on the job' training. Based on experience.
Work Location (Address): Louisville, KY (preferred). Remotely Nationwide.
% Travel: Minimal travel may be expected to attend annual meetings, etc.
