Description
The Large Group Sales Executive sells health insurance and related products to new large group accounts (generally 300 contracts). The Large Group Sales Executive work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Large Group Sales Executive fully understands all product lines, sells to targeted clients, and identifies potential new clients in a specified territory or geographic area. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree.
5 years of business-to-business sales experience.
Active health and life insurance licenses.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Entrepreneurial and self-sufficient.
Proven sales success in the health and wellness solutions industry.
Ability to travel regularly, by land and air, throughout defined sales region.
This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits.
Must have a separate room with a locked door that can be used as a home office, to ensure you have absolute and continuous privacy while you work.
Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior sales experience in the health and wellness solutions industry working with large group segment brokers and employers.
Experience selling Medicare Advantage products.
Experience working with labor organizations.
Additional Information
This role will cover the NE region territory.
Travel: up to 50% travel with possible overnight stays. Note: Business travel is suspended at this time due to business travel restrictions.
Typical Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm.
