The sales executive helps our Aon team develop precisely the right solution to meet each client’s needsYour Impact as a Sales ExecutiveResponsibilitiesAchieve annual cumulative pension administration sales team goalsHelp establish and coordinate sales strategy across clients of all sizesIdentify and pursue internal and external prospect opportunitiesEffectively integrate with other Aon sales leaders across practices to identify opportunities and deliver Aon United to prospectsPartner with Aon’s Enterprise Client Group to connect our largest Aon clientsBuild and maintain a pipeline of prospectsEffectively introduce lead generation resources at the appropriate time in the selling processCollect and communicate market intelligence on products/services and incorporate it into sales client planning processCreatively eliminate barriers for clients entering new markets; support the team in navigating alternative paths to making the saleReview existing client contracts that are up for renegotiation or require a fee reviewDraft contracts and work with Aon legal on contract negotiationsWork with current teams to develop scope and pricing for large projectsWork collaboratively with other Pension Administration Sales ExecutivesEnsure most efficient use of Aon Connect, Aon’s internal CRM/pipeline management toolRegular/minimum of 10-20% travel expected, depending on sales opportunities.Qualifications and Expertise10 years of direct experience in the U.S. retirement plan market with demonstrated sales successEstablished network of contacts—particularly for defined benefit plans, is preferredValidated history of success in establishing and driving a sales strategyAbility to communicate the value of services to clients, deliver insights on how the service will impact the client’s business, and effectively close the opportunityDeep knowledge of pension plans and pension-related topicsStrong relationship management abilities: Capability to build trusted advisor relationships at multiple levels in a potential client company, including members of the fiduciary, financial, and administrative committees who are responsible for retirement plans. Experienced in maintaining productive, internal relationships in order to leverage those resources when necessary.Strong Communication and Project Management skills: Ability to handle multiple, complex sales processes at the same time. The salary range for this position is $150-175K annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
