Description
The Large Group Sales Executive - Specialty Employer Group cultivates strong, productive and influential relationships with brokers/consultants, customers, and peers to sell Specialty health insurance products to prospective clients. They are responsible for finding leads through prospecting and networking events. Updates external employers on Humana capabilities to create business opportunities and/or enhance the perception and understanding of Humana capabilities. Partner with Large Group Sales Executives and Client Executives on 100 Specialty opportunities in medical markets. The Large Group Sales Executive - Specialty Employer Group work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Large Group Sales Executive - Specialty Employer Group works with agents and consultants to sell Specialty (Dental, Vision, Life, Wellness) products to new and existing large group accounts. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Sales Territory: Great Lakes Market (IL - WI - MI - MN)

Required Qualifications
3 - 5 years or more Outside Sales experience
Active Life & Health Insurance License
Background in Insurance Sales, Healthcare or related fields
Experience working with Large Group Sales
Excellent Presentation and Communication skills
Background working and establishing relationships with brokers
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter, who already knows how to work well with a team to achieve ambitious goals
Knowledge with Financial Reporting and Analysis
50% travel required within territory (Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota)
Valid driver's license
Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.
A dedicated home office space, with a locked door, lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Work shift will be in Central Time Zone
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Ability to demonstrate goal achievement, growth projections across product line or customer base
Prior business to business sales experience with Specialty products (Life, Dental, Vision)
