Rapper 50 Cent's $10 Million Connecticut Mansion

I was thinking about moving to Connecticut a few years ago. I'm glad I waited, because now the perfect house is up for sale in the town of Farmington. And it has a Hollywood history.

Back in 2003, boxer Mike Tyson sold his 48,000-square-foot estate for $4.1 million to Curtis James Jackson, III. You might know him as rapper 50 Cent. Former heavyweight champion Tyson purchased the house for $2.7 million in 1996. As part of his divorce settlement with his second wife, he signed it over for $1 in 2002. Now, after four years and $6 million worth of upgrades—including the addition of a helipad—50 Cent has decided to sell.

With 52 rooms, including 18 bedrooms and several kitchens, 25 full bathrooms, and 14 half bathrooms, the house rests on 17 acres and is supposedly the largest private mansion in the state of Connecticut. It comes with servants' quarters, a boathouse, a waterfall, and tennis courts. Now I have an excuse to learn to play.



But the amenities don't stop there. The mansion boasts a full gym, four whirlpools, two billiard rooms, racquetball courts, a disco, a movie theater, a spa with a grotto, and, rumor has it, stripper poles. All this comes with a modest $10 million price tag. I'm sure it's worth it if you enjoy lavish living and lots of privacy.

If you get an urge for the big-city lights, the mansion is about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from New York. Farmington is an affluent suburb of Hartford and was once voted one of the preppiest places in America. And you will be neighbors with former New England Patriots safety Tebucky Jones, who lives there.
