Southwire Company has developed an innovative addition to the art of wiring: FlatWire. UL certified, this new technology will enable the feasibility of installing electronic devices and lighting anywhere without busting open your walls with power tools or resorting to less pulchritudinous cords.

Essentially, FlatWire will ease the burdens of both home-improvement experts and those who subscribe to the do-it-yourself philosophy of residential upgrading. You can install the device anywhere in your home or place of business, making it a non-invasive, low-cost alternative to stressing about where to locate new outlets or compromising your vision as a result of exposed wiring.

FlatWire is as thin as paper and flexible enough to bend to any angle for customized installation. You can rest assured that your endeavors with regard to audio, video, and lighting implementation will be accomplished as planned.

FlatWire is a patented technology using copper conductors that are insulated on each side by polymer film. It was developed to stick to walls and ceilings without complicated procedures and equipment.

As soon as you create a path to the site where your electronic devices will be stationed, hold the FlatWire adhesive-spray dispenser six inches from the surface and spray the path along which you plan to apply the FlatWire. Then, simply stick the FlatWire to the adhesive path, smooth it out, and attach the connectors.

You can make the installation virtually invisible by covering it with FlatWire mesh tape, applying the concealing compound, sanding, and finishing with paint or wallpaper. Map, stick, click, and make it disappear—it's that simple!

The FlatWire kit includes cable and interconnections. The surround-sound kit features 100 feet of speaker wire, 10 pairs of flexible pin connectors, and optional subwoofer cable and connectors. Lighting sconces are also available in 30 different traditional and contemporary designs. The Add-A-Light™ Low Voltage Kit can be used to set up one or two fixtures. This kit offers connectors, a wall plate, a transformer, spray adhesive, mesh tape, and 25 feet of FlatWire. The sconce requires a 12-volt, 20-watt halogen bulb.

FlatWire can be purchased at flatwiretv.com or by calling 888-FLATWIRE to place volume orders.

Southwire Company is a North American wire and cable provider and a major manufacturer of building wire/cable, metal-clad (MC) cable, cord products, utility cable products, and industrial power cable, as well as copper, aluminum-rod, and continuous-casting technology.
