Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO) has announced the launch of its new search marketing ranking model, which will take place in the U.S. on Monday, February 5. This new ranking model will grade all Yahoo! search marketing ads by quality as well as by keyword bid price, which will translate into more meaningful searches for the users. Advertisers of Yahoo! also stand to gain as the company now expects a significant increase - both in customer leads and better prospects for distributors. Advertising executive Teri Yamashige has recently enlisted a new marketing company called the Three A Marketing Group. Ms. Yamashige carries with her 20 years of marketing and advertising experience. She has previously worked as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of account service at ADWorks. A member of the Board of Directors of the Hawaii Advertising Federation, Ms. Yamashige's client list includes AT&T Wireless Services, MasterCard, and Tyson Foods among others. Amtrak to reach out to more minority passengers
Railroad company Amtrak will strive to attract more African-American and Mexican-American passengers through an advertising campaign being developed by Atlanta-based agency IMAGES USA. At present, travel by rail is not very common in South and Central America and the agency hopes to address this issue. Market research has discovered that people are not identifying with the current Amtrak advertising - which mostly involves elements of design. The campaign has undergone a shift and will now revolve around families traveling by train, thus featuring more people on the advertisements.
